SocialSync is a software designed to support charities with their fundraising. It is mainly used to run Facebook fundraising challenges, but is also a platform where you can connect all your online streams of donations (Facebook/Instagram/Go Fund me) and see patterns, data and supporter information. It is an extremely intelligent piece of software that can help charities to understand where their donations are coming from, learning more about their donor behaviour, automate processes such as sending emails and creating supporter ‘journeys’. On their way to becoming the leaders in their field around the world!

We have been using SocialSync for the last two years solely for our yearly fundraising campaign, The Animal March. However now with the recent changes in Meta fundraising tools, it has become a lifeline for us to be able to continue to provide a one click link to a fundraiser where people can donate seamlessly. We can also use this to allow donors to create fundraisers for us, such as birthday fundraisers, fundraisers attached to a campaign we may be running “Here is our fundraiser to raise money for Xavi’s vet bills, but click on THIS button here to create your own”. SocialSync gives us the power to not only continue to raise donations, but to have everything we need in one place, to see and to understand what’s working, and what isn’t, and to even steward people towards our email and to become long term donors. Izzie is also a recommended supplier (consultant) for SocialSync, so has a strong relationship with a lot of the team (very helpful for keeping us ahead of the curve!)

SocialSync works by pulling data from all our digital spaces, such as Facebook, Instagram etc, and putting it all in one place. We can then create campaigns and fundraisers, and in turn share them back onto our digital platforms, to use for fundraising.

We have been in an amazing position for the past year due to a ‘glitch’ in our favour (or possibly my friend who works there meddling with things so we could benefit!) where we were receiving a lot of the tools for free. I am having a discussion with the CEO tomorrow to talk about how we can continue to make it more accessible for charities in Europe, however at the moment, we only have the software free until around July, when we will then need to go to the paid monthly version. Since the paid monthly pro plan is the only way we can do The Animal March now, it’s highly likely that we will still purchase it anyway, but it would be great to see what we can achieve in the next few months at least!

Reply for support - Hey there! As this is an English company who is providing the donation platform, the settings are currently in pounds sterling. The news about Meta tools being taken away was very recent so they are working to change this as soon as possible! Do note though that you won't be charged any extra, your donation will be in pounds for now, but will come out of your account as euros and will come to us as euros! 🙂 Thank you for your understanding while we navigate these changes!

At the moment we are working on the best ways to use this without giving too much information to our supporters all at once, but for now there is a video showing how to set up a campaign and create a fundraiser. We currently only need a few people using this as we don’t want too many people playing in the back end!

We have been using SocialSync for several years, but now we will be able to use it to rescue our Meta fundraising! It works very similar to having a GoFundMe fundraiser, however we can personalise them a lot more, view so much more info on the back end, and make it super easy for people to set up a fundraiser for us with one click. SocialSync is the future!
