Work Experience Programme 2023

With the growth of our organisation and our recent success with our Summer Internships, we have recently introduced our Work Experience Programme.

For people who are looking to gain valuable, accredited experience in their field of studies and to progress themselves further in their line of work.

This is an exciting opportunity, particularly for those who are taking a break before continuing further education, and for those who are travelling.

But want to incorporate the experience to return back to work or for those who simply want to become more passionate about their job and learn life-long lessons to springboard themselves in their future career.

It’s all too common that nowadays no matter how well trained you are, many employers will want work experience before they offer you a role, and here at Tenerife Horse Rescue we can provide you all the hands on work, coaching and support you need.

A fantastic resume and reference from a registered charity to take away with you, and a lifetime of amazing memories from your time spent with the incredible animals and volunteers here at the sanctuary.

Community Life.

While we have some positions available for those living locally and coming in daily, most of our volunteers on work experience will be living on-site at the finca. This may be a very different sort of life to what you may be accustomed to! Rule number one; this is an animal sanctuary and this is their home first. If you don’t like animals, random animal noises, and dogs and cats in your living room, kitchen and workspace, then this is probably not the place for you! Check out our page community living to see what to expect here.
