Nala Update

Nala has really settled in with us here now and has a best friend, Devante. They are never far from each other and usually you will find Devante with his “good eye” facing Nala knowing she will guide and protect him, too cute!!

Recently Nala was struggling to get up whilst laying down and so we called the vet for her. After a thorough evaluation we have narrowed her issues down to two possibilities, an old pelvic issue/fracture or arthritis of the spine which would be very common with her back issue lordosis. We are continuing to work with the vets to find the exact issue however it seems she was just having a bad spell and has not struggled since! She is on a daily pain relief supplement called Buteless and happily enjoys walks out alone or with the other horses and also enjoys her apple cider vinegar baths and cuddles with the volunteers!
