Lucas Update

A happy update for this lovely boy!!

We strive to find good homes to send all of our animals to however equines, especially non-rideable ones, are particularly difficult to find placements for. This, along with Lucas’ special daily medical care routine, made thoughts of adoption slim.

However against the odd’s this sweetheart found his match, along with the baby of the group Papaya. A sweet lady up in the North of the island with a finca willing to take in two souls and dedicated to carrying out the correct treatments and handling for them both. A volunteer of ours actually left to join them in their new home and teach our methods to their new owners and their team of volunteers.

Their volunteers love taking him walking, and he’s teaching their herd how to be calm.

He is even teaching people how to handle donkeys as many volunteers at his new home have not worked with donkeys before.
