He was scared and confused. Sore, dry and irritated skin over his neck and under his body, thrush in his feet, painfully thin and with fear in his eyes. However amazingly he looked like he wasn't always in that condition. He had recent shoes, shiny coat, a good back and legs. So we think that it's a case of him being an "unwanted hobby". He probably no longer won races or performed as he was expected and this made him not worthy of food. This is often even sadder to see.
Maybe we are wrong and his journey to us is different, but sadly this a story is so common. Everyday it breaks our hearts to see these animals suffering and we can't afford to help them all.
